Tāwari honey is deep gold to orange in colour, with a smooth rich texture and flavour of earthy overtones with hints of lavender, berries, and white chocolate, Tāwari honey is great paired with autumn fruit and makes a delicious topping for pancakes and ice cream.
Tāwari grows at higher altitudes in remote native forests of Aotearoa New Zealand. Bees bask in deep pools of nectar at the base of these brilliant white flowers. Described as one of our most beautiful native trees, for the connoiseurs Tāwari produces some of New Zealand's finest honey.
Harvested by hand with minimal processing at temperatures below 48° C (118° F) to ensure its raw vitamins, minerals, flavonoids, and antioxidants are kept intact.
