Rātā honey is renowned for its striking creamy white colour, smooth texture and subtle flavours of sea salt and caramel.
This exceptional native honey from nectar of the native Rātā flower is recognised as one of the world’s finest and rarest honeys. The brilliant red flowers of the native Rātā bloom once every 3-4 years, draping bush clad mountains in a fiery, red cloak. Rātā honey is harvested from deep tracts of native forest in some of the most remote regions of Aotearoa - New Zealand.
Harvested by hand with minimal processing at temperatures below 48° C (118° F) to ensure its raw, natural vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are kept intact.
